John Young Memorial Queer Prom 2024
Join Polestar for an Out of this World experience! The John Young Memorial Queer Prom will be on April 13th from 7-11 PM at the Grand Traverse Event Center. Tickets are $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door.

Queer Climber's Meetup at ELEV8 Climbing Gym
Join ELEV8 on October 13 from 6-8 PM for their first Queer Climbers Meetup. Open to climbers both beginning and experienced, you'll find some camaraderie and share in the fun of climbing. Rentals are available for a discount of $15.00 in advance or will be $20.00 at the door. We look forward to seeing you there!
October's Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Support Group
For May's Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Support Group, we're going thrifting at the request of the group! We'll be meeting at the Women's Resource Center in Traverse City on US31. We'll move from thrift store to thrift store until our time is up.
This meeting is open to transgender and gender nonconforming individuals ages 16 and older. Masks are not required but are recommended. We will be in public, so keep that in mind if you are not yet publicly out.
Two New Community Facebook Groups
A community member has set up a pair of Facebook page to address a need they've found in the community. The first one, Supportive Transgender Couples, is for couples where one or both individuals are transgender or non-binary and in a healthy relationship. It's required that both partners join.
The other page is Supportive Spouses/Partners of Transgender Individuals and is just for the spouses and partners of transgender and non-binary individuals.
Queer Picnic at F&M Park
Join Polestar and Evergreen for a laid-back outdoor eating experience to celebrate Pride in our fantastic weather! We’ll be meeting and eating at F and M park in Traverse City from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, June 11th. Please try to bring a food or drink to share! Evergreen will be providing some food, and zero proof drinks but people are welcome to bring dishes to pass or just for themself. We just ask that shared plates are clearly labeled with ingredients!
